As part of its efforts to protect palm trees and agricultural crops, the Cooperative Association of Farmers North of Medina implemented a comprehensive program to combat the red palm weevil, in cooperation with the Agriculture Department at the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture branch and Al-Fahad Contracting Company. The program included organizing 6 educational seminars held separately at several farms to educate farmers and agricultural workers on how to detect and control the red palm weevil, in addition to conducting a comprehensive survey of infestation in the region. This initiative reflects the association's commitment to protecting agricultural wealth and supporting farmers in facing pests that threaten their productivity, contributing to food security and the sustainability of the agricultural sector in the region.
