The Cooperative Association of Farmers North of Medina signed a dates supply contract with the National Center for Palms and Dates, participating in the contract farming program to supply member farmers' dates with a quantity of 300 tons of Ajwa dates. The quantities were delivered to the entity assigned by the center (the factory). After receipt and inspection, approximately only 15 tons were accepted out of the total quantity supplied, while the remaining quantities were rejected due to quality issues, results indicating pesticide residues, and issues with laboratory test results from the contracted lab. This is considered one of the main challenges faced by the association within the program, despite efforts in coordinating with farmers and preparation and supply operations. This requires future enhancement of quality procedures, raising compliance levels with requirements, and addressing issues related to laboratory tests to ensure increased acceptance rates.
